Chaos Walking, Doug Liman’s big-budget adaptation of the best-selling YA novel of the same name by Patrick Ness, is the latest big-budget movie to undergo significant re-shoots, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

Lionsgate may be forced to push back the movie’s release date, which is currently slated for March 1, 2019, because of complicated scheduling issues with star Daisy Ridley.

Spending by Lionsgate for the film is between $90 million and $100 million, for an ambitious sci-fi thriller that the studio hopes will launch a franchise that can stand out amid superhero movies, remakes and sequel tent-poles.

Ridley will be at work on Star Wars: Episode IX, which will probably take up the summer months. This puts the re-shoots, which will reportedly take two to three weeks to film, off to being worked on in December 2018, or possibly even January 2019. Regardless, it would be a tight turnaround to make the current release date and insiders are planning, at this stage, on the opening date to shift. Lionsgate had no comment.

Film Synopsis:

Chaos Walking is set on a colony planet where almost all women have been killed by a virus and all living creatures hear one another’s thoughts in a stream of images, words and sounds called Noise. The cacophony drives many mad until a young man (Holland) makes a silent discovery: There is a girl (Ridley) who may be the key to unlocking the New World’s many-layered secrets.

Sunday (March 11), Daisy attended the “Peter Rabbit” Film Premiere in London, England. The event was held at the Vue Cinema at Leicester Square. Our gallery has been updated with 157+ high-quality photos. Enjoy!

Star Wars: The Force Awakens director J.J. Abrams reunited with his star Daisy Ridley for the fantasy thriller Kolma, it was announced back in April 2016.

Kolma is a remake of the 2003 Israeli movie of the week entitled Kol Ma, a.k.a. All I’ve Got. The film is being produced by Abrams through his Bad Robot Productions. As reported by Bloody Disgusting, the project may well fall under the Cloverfield Cinematic Universe.

The original film’s synopsis is as follows – a young couple who get in a car accident that leaves the man dead. Fifty years later, the old woman must choose whether to reunite with her long-lost love in the afterlife or return to the fateful day her life changed forever.

The news is unconfirmed at this point if Kolma is being lined up as the fifth Cloverfield movie, but it would certainly fit the formula – a previously unrelated project, modest budget and up-and-coming director in Marielle Heller (The Diary of a Teenage Girl).

The fourth Cloverfield movie – Overlord – has already been shot, and is still expected to receive a cinema release.

Daisy Ridley will also be reuniting with J.J. Abrams later this year as production gets underway on Star Wars: Episode IX ahead of its release in December 2019.

Since the first Last Jedi trailer premiered at this year’s Star Wars Celebration Orlando back in April, no real new footage or trailers from the film have been released.
Star Wars: The Last Jedi is set for release on December 14th in the United Kingdom and December 15th in the States and sees returning cast members Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker), Carrie Fisher (Leia Organa), Adam Driver (Kylo Ren), Daisy Ridley (Rey), John Boyega (Finn), Oscar Isaac (Poe Dameron), Lupita Nyong’o (Maz Kanata), Domhnall Gleeson (General Hux), Anthony Daniels (C-3PO), Gwendoline Christie (Captain Phasma), Billie Lourd (Lieutenant Connix), Andy Serkis (Supreme Leader Snoke), Peter Mayhew and Joonas Suotamo (Chewbacca), Tim Rose (Admiral Ackbar), Mike Quinn (Nien Nunb), Simon Pegg (Unkar Plutt), and Warwick Davis joined by new additions Jimmy Vee (Pan) as R2-D2, Kelly Marie Tran (Ladies Like Us) as Rose, and Benicio Del Toro (Guardians of the Galaxy) and Laura Dern (Jurassic Park). If this date holds true, it syncs with a since-deleted tweet from Mark Hamill, who last week responded to a fan’s question about the trailer by recommending he watch Monday Night Football on October 9. Die hard fans have been analyzing every move Disney and Lucasfilm have made over the past several months, trying to predict when the next trailer will drop to no avail.

Seeing as how ESPN is owned by Disney, it makes sense for the newest trailer to debut there.

With just three months until The Force Awakens follow-up, fans have been wondering when they will be getting the next one.

Arriving Dec. 15, director Rian Johnson’s Star Wars: The Last Jedi stars Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Domhnall Gleeson, Anthony Daniels, Gwendoline Christie, Andy Serkis, Benicio del Toro, Laura Dern and Kelly Marie Tran. Anticipation surrounding the latest installment in the Star Wars saga has been reaching new levels in recent weeks, with the release of new images from the film and hype-inducing teases from The Last Jedi cast members. But for what it’s worth, Mark Hamill did recently say the second Last Jedi trailer would be released on that same day during Monday Night Football.

The shooting for Star Wars: The Last Jedi is officially complete, director Rian Johnson has confirmed.

The 43-year-old filmmaker took to Instagram where he announced the news, praising his crew as the most hard-working team ever.

Aaaand that’s a wrap on the hardest working post production team in the galaxy. Going to miss sitting in dark rooms with these goobers.

The new trailer of “Murder on the Orient Express” is here! Make sure to check it out. I’ll add stills to the gallery soon.

What starts out as a lavish train ride through Europe quickly unfolds into one of the most stylish, suspenseful and thrilling mysteries ever told. From the novel by best-selling author Agatha Christie, “Murder on the Orient Express” tells the tale of thirteen strangers stranded on a train, where everyone’s a suspect. One man must race against time to solve the puzzle before the murderer strikes again. Kenneth Branagh directs and leads an all-star cast including- Penelope Cruz, Willem Dafoe, Judi Dench, Johnny Depp, Michelle Pfeiffer, Daisy Ridley and Josh Gad.

Peter Rabbit, the mischievous and adventurous hero who has captivated generations of readers, now takes on the starring role of his own irreverent, contemporary comedy with attitude. In the film, Peter’s feud with Mr. McGregor (Domhnall Gleeson) escalates to greater heights than ever before as they rival for the affections of the warm-hearted animal lover who lives next door (Rose Byrne).  James Corden voices the character of Peter with playful spirit and wild charm, with Margot Robbie, Elizabeth Debicki, and Daisy Ridley performing the voice roles of the triplets, Flopsy, Mopsy, and Cottontail.
